Abstract
The aspiration of this see to it is to research what is being done to help the stateless line of work in this atomic number 18a and what else could be done.
With an unemployment rate of nearly 13-percent, Floridians in this central eastern county are struggling to restrain their homes and cars or to buy food to eat (Kathy Browning). While driving cumulation many highways and local roadways, the roofless crowd the sidewalks begging for money and food. Some are fairish begging for a mantel to cover up with.
During the research, an call into question was conducted with the director of one of the dope kitchens and an watching was done at two soup kitchens. By doing this research it has been found that many of the dispossessed came to both locations. The homeless go to the soup kitchens to mature one meal however its just not enough for them to live on.
Introduction
The homeless issue in Volusia County is increasing as the years go on. With the unemployment rate at 13%, Floridians are struggling to keep their cars, houses, and putting food on the table (Kathy Browning). Homeless are crowding the sidewalks begging for money and food to stay alive.



The purpose of this project is to research what is being done to help the homeless problem in this area and what else could be done that hasnt been done.
To assess this issue in depth, a planned observation has been done at the soup kitchen provided by the First Methodist Church of Deland. Another observation was done at St. Barnabas and an interview with the director was done. In the interview, questions like how many homeless do you get a week and does the soup kitchens seem to be helping the homeless. By asking these questions and observing, it has been found that many mass who came to the soup kitchen are not homeless and they are just trying to make ends meet by not pay money for a meal during the week.
