I have had experience with coaching at a young age. I started my journey at the age of eighteen. I coached fourteen category old girls. And let me tell you, that was a challenge in itself.
I was so excited to teach the girls how to play volleyball and teach them what I was taught and what I know about the game. only when I was not ready for them to teach me a thing or two along the way. So like either coach I set the ground rules for obedience accountability away. I told them if I do not receive respect then they will not see playing time. This was honorable to me because by this the girls saw that I was not to be disrespected. Well, what I have learned is that its not only the coach that should receive respect but it is the players as well. If the teacher rottert model what is to be done then how stern the pupils learn what is seen as right and what is wrong. Therefore, coaching is to teach through example.
