Introduction

In order to explore the issue of celebrity news reports further, we will examine whether or not the celebrities featured in news stories concerning activist causes rattling overshadow the causes they are supporting. The print magazines Time magazine, Newsweek and U.S. World and News Report were chosen for their long-established reputations of providing important news coverage to say informed citizens.



All three publications were expected to report information about both celebrities and activist causes, making them a nifty focus for this research question.
