Siren Song
This rime is ab emerge deception and trickery. It is a story from Greek mythology where half-bird half-women sounding creatures, called sirens, use their beautiful voices in a song to inveigle men in that atomic number 18 sailing the sea. It was written in 1939; sirens brook also be found in the Odyssey, where they hightail it the same exact game of deceiving men into believing their lullabies. at one time they sire drawn in their prey, the sirens kill them. The sailors see skulls of nonviable men that have fallen for the sirens song. plain though the men see it is a trick and can tell that they will die, they cant bear to make out the melodic tune and are forced to be sucked into the trap.
In this sense, the author could be relating the deception and confusion of the sirens to everyday action situations. We see that there are consequences and that we shouldnt do authoritative things, yet we still continue to fall into the trap of our ingest decisions. Some things seem so valuable and so challenging that we penury them, solely a lot of the time they curio up hurting us. Like the sirens, decisions in our lives are sometimes disguised with a cover that makes it look like something we necessity or need. In reality these things will only do harm and should not be messed with such as, procrastination.



It seems nice to have extra time to do what you want if you put your control off, but most of the time the work doesnt mature finished or it is rushed, and in both cases you come out with a bad grade. Another example would be to go out and party, at the time it seems fun and like you jibe in, but when it is over you are just left with a big mess and a hangover. These things are tempting because they are so easy to become involved in.
The structure of the verse form itself is like a song. It is written in free verse, but it is divided into three lines per stanza. This gives the poem a song feel.
