However, in American culture, we value the secular things in life, because our main determination is not centered around God, but on success, money, and actual things. They do not value material things, but they value the spiritual things. Through their lack of superficial items, electronics, and brand-name clothing seems queer to us, it serves a higher purpose of keeping them humble and God-fearing. They too do not value education, because it leads to pride, but they value stiff work, which is required of all the members of the society.
