The Yellow Wallpaper is a storey that was written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman in the nineteenth century. This romance was ground on her make experience when she had a baby of her own at the age of twenty four and fell into a deep depression that effected her life to a neat extent. It effected her life so much that she wrote this fiction as a way to let others know about the intervention she went through and how much crush it made her illness. Her treatment consisted of the succour cure which took part in a lot of resting and non much else.
There are many symbols in this story that Gilman hints to that regard her illness and how she feels about the rest cure. As Jane, the woman in The Yellow Wallpaper goes through her illness she sees many things because she is in a bedroom alone, with rarely any company. The reason for this is because her economise is a physician and believes that resting as much as possible give help her nervous and depression condition.

Throughout the story Jane begins to become so obsess with the wallpaper that it actually starts to make her more depressed and trapped. She becomes so obsessed that she lets her sleep schedule work around how the cheer hits the wallpaper so that she can see the patterns on it differently. Her husband put Jane in this room with the yellow wallpaper and does non seem to care about how badly it is affecting her.
