Gordon Larsen quit high school to bring together the Marines in 1941, where he was immediately shipped out to the peace-loving to fight. Having been through some of the heaviest and worst fighting in World War II, Gordon arrived in Bougainville where he met up with his br other Jim. This was a damn and unforgettable battle for Gordon. Almost instantly his brother, Jim, was hit and collapsed. By the time rescuers got there it was too late. Jim died two weeks later in the hospital. Gordon continued to fight and do his part in the Marines. When carry out from the Marines, Gordon went to school at nights and worked during the day.
