The Influence of the Media Occupy Wall(a) Street has become a hot topic issue in the United States since the protests began on September 17th 2011. Politicians, celebrities, reporters and regular quite a little admit all had and shared their trusts on the topic which vary greatly and dupe causes major debates among people. Currently there are occupy debate street protests all over the country and umteen of them surrender disrupted many day to day things in the cities. of late I visited one of the protests on Thanksgiving day in Philadelphia simply to see what it was like. My thinkings of the protest progress to greatly been touched by various media sources and my opinions have changed since the beginning when the protests where still in their early phases. My opinions of the occupy protests are that the protestors should not be pickings up public space and living there at the expense of the cities, I would not change my voting habits because of the movement, and that people should not change their purchasing habits because of the protest. Protest Space There have been many debates about where the protestors have been staging their occupy protests and whether these places where they have deiced to set up their camps are good or bad. in the first place when I thought of protests and when they were setting up in a unobtrusive place I thought that this was fine, which was an opinion I formed on my own without biases from friends and family. However the media has greatly influenced my opinion on this subject.



The subject has been brought up on so many different mediums such as alphabet News, Facebook, and shows that make play of the news such as “The Colbert Report” hosted by Stephen Colbert. ABC News is known for their investigative journalism and where I get in most of my news related information from.
