Samuel Vachon Mrs. Covell English I.2 12 April 2011 Death on an Island by William Golding professional of the Flies is an allegorical novel by William Golding, a British award winning author. He served in the navy during WWII; his experiences in the war inspired him to write Lord of the Flies. William Golding strongly beliefs that human race has diverse aspects and how human nature can be genuinely evil from Sidemen Freuds perspective. This novel is an allegorical story because of representing the boys on the island by adults and how they both do the same to each other(a) for power. The characters in William Goldings allegorical novel, Lord of the Flies, represent various aspect of mankind. When we prototypal meet knee bend he is the draw of the choir boys and later becomes the leader of the leaders. As the story goes on he tries to get more and more power, bullies others and takes advantage all over them. For example Piggy is bullied by Jack and the rest of the hunters by taking his glasses which he cant limit without. When Jack and the hunters finally catch the sow he slices its pharynx and puts the pigs head on a shake up and sticks it in the ground.
