Joan of Arc Paper
Joan was born in 1412 as a peasant girl in the town of Domremy. By the time she was 13 she started to here voices of celestial in spirit and as they continued to get intense she started to see visions on with them. Later on in here life well-nigh 1429 during the hundred year war, she convinced the exponent of France that she had divine powers and that she could help. With the pooves blessing she rode out dressed in fit with a white banner and led the French to victory over the English.
With this victory Joan united the French with Charles. Charles did not fate to have anymore campaigns over against England. So with out the Backing of the King Joan took about 1430 troops to Compiegne to fight the English. This is where she was captured and sold to the allies of England. The English took her to court at Rouen and then tried her for heresy and sorcery. later 14 months of intense interrogations she was only found guilty of eroding manly clothing and believing that God was talking to her.
She was sentenced to death, just now was later was given life imprisonment, because she confessed about her lapse in judgment. Later she was condemned to death because she kept wearing mens clothing after returning to jail and was tried again but in a smaller court and on May 30, 1431 she was burned for being a heretic in the Old Market Square in Rouen. 25 eld late the church looked at her case and pronounced her innocent. 1920 she was hold by Pope Benedict XV.
