Draw a feed inchart for a deal of have-to doe with to you, such as a quick oil-change service, a mill process you might have worked in, drifting a pizza, rent a car or truck, buying products on the Internet, or applying for an automobile loan. Identify the points where something (people, information) waits for service or is held in work-in-process inventory, the estimated age to accomplish each activity in the process, and the total flow time. Evaluate how well the process worked and what might be make to improve it.  Write up your conclusions and deposit them as your assignment. If necessary, submit your flowchart as well.

This process ordinarily takes 4-1/2 to 5 hours to complete.



The major unknown variable that affects everything is the arrival time of the trailers. The point where the waiting happens is the first element. Center waiting for packages. This effects how the entire process works for that day. It can too affect the next days Pre-load process in the form of roll over volume, which arrived late the previous day. This process works extremely well, most of the time. Six trailers can be unloaded simultaneously in the dockhouse. The Pre-load Supervisor and Center autobus spend a good part of their morning in the dockhouse. All packages are scanned in and a PAL label attached to each piece.
